Danish police said on Saturday they had found the head and the legs of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, who died in mysterious circumstances on an inventor's homemade submarine.

The 30-year-old's torso was found floating in the Baltic Sea on August 21 nearly two weeks after she boarded the homemade submarine Nautilus on August 10, as part of a story she was working on about the vessel's creator, Peter Madsen, who remains in custody facing charges of murder. A warning - there are disturbing details in this report.

Later, Madsen said that the journalist died from a blow on the hatch on a submarine. Identification was based on dental records from Sweden, he said.

The inventor charged with her death is a Dane named Peter Madsen and who fully denies the charges of murder.

Disciplined bowling leads India to comfortable win in rain-shortened game
Indian bowlers performed in unison as Australia were restricted to a meagre 118 for 8 when rain stopped play after 18.4 overs. From there on, India took complete control of the game with Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah (2-17) among the wickets.

Madsen has insisted there was no sexual relationship between him and Wall, and that their contacts had been professional.

"Last night, our dentist examiner confirmed that he was the head of Kim Wall", said the inspector of the police of Copenhagen, Jens Moller Jensen.

Journalist sailed with the designer of the Nautilus submarine and disappeared.

Ms Wall's torso was found on 21 August; a post-mortem examination revealed knife wounds to her genitals and ribcage, which were believed to have been caused "around or shortly after her death".

A court-ordered psychiatric evaluation of Madsen is pending.

Madsen is accused of killing Wall. He slipped and lost his grasp on the incubate, which at that point hit her on the head, he said. He told the Copenhagen City Court that Wall was badly injured and probably dead. His legal team have said he denies all charges. Madsen was safeguarded from the sinking vessel and brought shorewards, where he was grabbed by police, yet there was no hint of the missing columnist.

According to Madsen, Wall was climbing to the top of a platform where he was holding the hatch. The next pre-trial hearing is scheduled for October 31.
