Facebook outages reported in US, Europe

However, the outage of the network is being tracked by independent site, Down Detector, where users all around the world report issues.

Just after 11:00am EST, parts of the US, mostly the East and West Coasts, and Europe starting suffering Facebook outages.

Defence responds to cyber attack incident
The report mentions that the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) had named the advanced persistent threat (APT) as "Alf". Data on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter , P-8 Poseidon surveillance aircraft and C-130 transport plane was stolen.

Downtime reports said people were unable to access either one or both of the services on their browser or via the app. There was a problem with entrance to accounts in a similar way on Facebook.

"Earlier today, a networking issue caused some people to have trouble accessing Facebook services. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible".

Users were also reporting the outages on Twitter although Facebook was not responding to any of those users on that platform. About 56 percent reported problems with the news feed, 23 percent with log-in and 20 percent with the website.

Additionally, thousands also reported problems with Instagram. Outage reports from DownDetector were showing that the issues were occurring worldwide but especially in the United States and Europe.

Now Groove Music Pass is shutting down, although its Groove Music app lives on as a way for people to play their owned tracks. Microsoft has announced that it'll be discontinuing Music Pass support in Groove and music purchase in the Windows Store.

Users experiencing the outage on Facebook say that they can't access the site, while others say the post box is missing or other parts of the site are not functioning properly.
