Profit in the April-June quarter was Rs 367 crore. "This will eventually force operator consolidation and exits as we have witnessed in the recent past", Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO, India and South Asia, Bharti Airtel said in the statement.

The company, however, revealed that its mobile broadband customer base increased 33.6% year-on-year to reach 55.21 million in the quarter.
