There was scepticism when Apple released a small screen smartphone called iPhone SE in 2016 as consumers seemed to be going insane after big-screen phones and most original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) went with the trend but reality turned out to be different.

Ahead of the iPhone X launch, rumours suggested the device would be heavily constrained and in short supply until well into 2018. The latest reports have tipped at the presence of a 4-inch display with 32GB and 128GB storage options. Any iPhone SE 2 launch would likely to take place in spring next year, as Apple looks to wrest the initiative from mobile makers in the wake of February's Mobile World Congress.
