Twentieth Century Fox confirmed that Bryan Singer has been fired from the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a representative has stated that Singer is no longer at the helm, after not returning to set following the Thanksgiving break.

Sigel had overseen filming for several days before Fox halted production. Before Thanksgiving, Malek confronted Singer about being unprofessional, however it did not get physical and according to the trade, the two settled their differences. Fox terminated Singer's association with Bohemian Rhapsody under the "pay or play" provision of his contract.

Despite being over a year away, one of next year's most anticipated movies was quickly pegged to be already Bryan Singer's Bohemian Rhapsody.

"Bryan Singer is no longer the director of Bohemian Rhapsody", Fox told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.

Doctors Fired For Declaring Newborn 'Dead' After Incident Sparks Outrage
New Delhi police are continuing to review hospital records as well as video footage from the twins' birth to better understand how the doctor's arrived at the conclusion.

The film has about two weeks left in shooting. It doesn't sound as if Malek was the only actor growing frustrated with Singer's behavior, as Tom Hollander, who is playing Queen manager Jim Beach, reportedly quit the film due to Singer but was convinced to come back.

Rami Malek is starring as the legendary frontman Freddie Mercury in the movie that had been filming in London.

It has also been revealed that Thomas Newton Sigel, the cinematographer for the film, tried to step in to the directing position but the studio was forced to shut down production last Friday. But when Singer did not return to set after the Thanksgiving break and instead stayed in the US, the studio made a decision to jettison him from the project.

One source told THR that Singer claims to be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, due to on-set tensions.

Now, Singer has accused 20th Century Fox of not allowing him to take time off to care for his ill parent.

Despite the production for the Queen biopic put on ice and in a state of uncertainty, "Bohemian Rhapsody" is still slated to hit the theaters on its original release date of December 25, 2018.

Also, Singer's production company Bad Hat Harry has been removed entirely from the Fox production offices, following decades of profitable work, especially involving the X-Men franchise, of which Singer had directed four of the entries.
