At least five dead after Moscow bus ploughs into underground walkway

Four people died when a bus crashed into an underground passage in western Moscow, police said.

Horrific CCTV from the scene captured the bus veering off a road and smashing down steps into people.

Russian authorities say a bus careened off a road and onto steps leading into an underground passageway in Moscow, killing at least four people and leaving 13 others injured.

Moscow police said both passengers and passers-by were killed.

According to the mayor of Moscow, who has arrived at the scene of the crash, two people are in critical condition as a result of the accident.

"A bus drove into a pedestrian underpass", a traffic police spokesman, Artyom Kolesnikov, told AFP.
