The cold front will start moving in Saturday afternoon and push temperatures down to the 40s overnight into Sunday.

The reinforcing cold air over the new snow will result in single-digit highs Saturday. A best forecast right now brings lows in the upper 40's or low 50's on Wednesday and Thursday.

Tue: High: 26 Low: 2 Partly cloudy. Temperatures will only get to the mid to upper 20s in the afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Rain chances for tonight are up to 20% with cloudy skies.

Cloudy skies will stick around through Saturday and some very small snow chances come into play, mainly in the far northern and far eastern counties.

2018 is forecast to start with a mix of sun and cloud January 1 with a 60 percent chance of flurries. Patchy drizzle is possible into the evening which could deem bridges and overpasses unsafe as temperatures are expected to drop below freezing overnight.
