This is the latest in a round of closings of Sears and Kmart aimed at getting the company on solid financial footing.

Sears Holdings closed almost 400 Sears and Kmart locations in 2017, according to Business Insider.

That will leave Sears with less than 940 operating locations.

A statement released by Sears Holdings said the closings come in an effort to "right size" their store footprint and to find a balance between a physical and digital presence. That store will close in early April. Full list of closings.

In total, Sears Holdings plans to close 64 Kmart and 39 Sears locations by May.

But the Bellingham and Burlington Macy's stores and the Bellingham Kmart are safe for now.
