Interim general manager Marty Hurney insists the Carolina Panthers handled the medical treatment of quarterback Cam Newton "the right way" during Sunday's 31-26 playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Newton took a shot to the head area from Saints defensive tackle David Onyemata midway through the fourth quarter.

Newton was clearly shaken up, and as he walked toward the Panthers' sideline, he fell to his knees. "I appreciate him. So I'm gonna send him some sauce", Jordan said after the game, via ESPN. But in revisions to its concussion policy announced December 29, the National Football League said it would "require a locker room concussion evaluation for all players demonstrating gross or sustained vertical instability (e.g., stumbling or falling to the ground when trying to stand)".

There's just one problem: Newton never left the sideline, instead going into the medical tent only briefly, which flies in the face of the recent update to the concussion protocol.

The company has said it plans to launch roughly 30 missions in 2018 after completing a record 18 a year ago . It wasn't until earlier in January that the company was able to confirm a hard time or date for the launch.

The changes came in conjunction with a decision not to punish the Houston Texans for their handling of a concussion suffered by quarterback Tom Savage.

However, the question could become whether or not Newton should have been taken to the locker room for evaluations.

"My helmet had come down low enough over my eyelid and it got pressed by the player's stomach".

The NFL's new concussion protocol, implemented on December 11, included the notice that the league will 'require a locker room concussion evaluation for all players demonstrating gross or sustained vertical instability (e.g., stumbling or falling to the ground when trying to stand)'.

Raiders Research Project: Revisiting the infamous Jon Gruden trade
It'll be tough for a lot of us on the crew to be impartial when we go into those production meetings and see you next year". All this combined led to the firing of Del Rio at the conclusion of his third season and the fight to get Gruden.

The Panthers were investigated once before in the 2016 season opener at Denver when Newton took a blow to the head but remained in the game. Although Newton had eight carries for 37 yards, he threw the ball 40 times, and the Saints feel better about him throwing than running.

'But if dazed Newton hadn't dropped down to the field himself, no one would have done or said a thing.

"We tried to force him to be uncomfortable, we tried to force him to make errors, and I don't think he made many", Jordan said. We saw him rock back and forth.

"Yeah, you know, Carolina picked him up so the brothers could reunite", Jordan said.
