Nassar, 54, was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison on Wednesday for sexually assaulting young girls under the guise of medical treatment, following a weeklong hearing that saw more than 150 accusers recount their stories in a MI courtroom.

"We're hoping to band together and find ways to make tangible changes", said Regan.

- Michigan State University athletic director Mark Hollis announced his retirement Friday amid the Larry Nassar sexual abuse case making headlines across the country. The board's top three members stepped down this week.

Nassar was sentenced on Wednesday after an extraordinary seven-day court hearing during which more than 150 women and girls gave victim statements or had them read in court, reports Xinhua.

The December-January period is now the third-wettest since the beginning of data collection in 1900, according to Meteo France. It's enough to worry Joao de Macedo, janitor at a residential building in Paris's upscale 16th Arrondissement.

In a letter sent Thursday to USA Gymnastics implementing required steps for comprehensive reform of the program, Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun demanded that all members of the board resign.

His call came as ramifications continued to intensify in the aftermath of the marathon hearings held in a Lansing, Michigan courtroom prior to Nassar's sentencing.

Simon, who has been president of the 50,000-student institution since 2005, noted that she had spent her entire professional career-more than 40 years-at Michigan State.

"Larry Nassar was cleared to practice again under new guidelines that weren't actually enforced", said Thomashow.

Snapchat will soon let users share their snap stories across the web
The current video process is cumbersome, especially compared to Snapchat which opens directly on the camera lens interface. It has also faced unrelenting criticism for issues stemming from user harassment, hate speech and abuse on the platform.

"There are things you can't get past, the fact that this is happening at the university and no one is taking accountability for it", said Regan. Your leadership, your professionalism, your compassion, and your commitment to allow each and EVERY ONE of us survivors the opportunity to share our impact statements in open court was extremely important and meaningful.

Olympic gold medallist Aly Raisman, who testified at Nassar's sentencing, slammed USOC in a tweet on Thursday.

The letter from the Olympic committee noted "the shocking and tragic stories surrounding Larry Nassar's years-long abuse of vulnerable athletes. It can not ever happen again".

"We understand that the requirements imposed by the letter will help us enhance our ability to build a culture of empowerment throughout the organization, with an increased focus on athlete safety and well-being. That being said, today I am announcing my retirement", Hollis said in a statement.
