  • Epic Games to close Paragon on April 26th - What went wrong?

After careful consideration, and many hard internal debates, we feel there isn't a clear path for us to grow Paragon into a MOBA that retains enough players to be sustainable.

It's a free-to-play game that players could spend money on, but any and all money spent on the game will be refunded, according to Epic. As such, "Paragon" will officially be shutting down by April 26.

Mattis describes North Korea Regime as 'Threat to the Entire World'
The goal remains the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, Mattis told reporters at U.S. North and South Korea remain in a technical state of war, since their 1950s conflict ended in an armistice, not a peace treaty.

In a message from the Paragon team, posted on the game's official site over the weekend, Epic admitted they didn't execute well enough to deliver on its promise and there was no clear path to a sustainable number of players. Earlier, an Epic Games representative confirmed that "Paragon" developers have been pulled out to help their surprise hit "Fortnite". Paragon was, for all intents and purposes, trying to cash in on the popularity of SMITE and it seemed like decent competition at first - but it was plagued by development focused too heavily on trying to turn a profit and not enough communication with their players. It may not have been enough to secure the game's future, though, as Epic Games found itself short on manpower to sustain both "Paragon" and the massively successful "Fortnite" with regular updates, as Polygon noted.

The post goes on to say that you can request refunds for every purchase made on Paragon directly through your Epic account. You can disable the automatic team-filling option if you don't have any buddies to play with and you're exhausted of being matched up with teammates who never try to revive you even if you're holding your guts in right next to them (yep, still salty over here).

Protesting the hospital's apathy and lack of help following the incident, members of Maru's family occupied the office of Dean Dr. He was shifted to trauma but it was too late. "It's due to their carelessness that Rajesh died ", Solanki was quoted as saying.

We truly appreciate everything you've put into Paragon. However, as an online-based game, Epic warns, "As the player population continues to decrease, matchmaking times and quality will further degrade".
