  • People pick up students after a shooting at the Salvador B. Castro Middle School near downtown Los Angeles Thursday Feb. 1 2018. A girl opened fire Thursday in a middle school classroom on Thursday authorities said

Evidence supports that a shooting inside a Los Angeles middle school classroom Thursday was caused by a gun accidentally discharging in a 12-year-old girl's backpack, Los Angeles police told ABC News. "Someone made a decision to bring a gun, I guess someone was accidentally playing around with it", admits Benjamin (who's real name is hidden at the request of his guardians), a seventh-grader attending the Sal Castro Middle School.

One student seemed to corroborate that description, telling the Los Angeles Times he thought the shooter was "playing" with the firearm.

The 12-year-old girl was reportedly taken to Los Angeles County's Juvenile Hall following the incident.

She wore a top which matched her motor perfectly as she stopped outside the property for a brief exchange with a male. A source told the newspaper the group were discussing new projects in China as well as a greatest hits album.

"Someone chose to bring a gun, I guess someone was accidentally playing around with it", said Benjamin, a 12-year-old 7th-grader, whose guardian asked that his last name not be used.

"I'm anxious about the kids who got shot", he said. The boy is in critical condition and the girl is in fair condition, according to KTLA.

"I went insane. I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what to say, and that's when I just got my mom and came over here", Diego said. The school has been declared safe, and we are communicating with parents of students at Castro Middle School, as well as neighboring campuses.

She texted her 14-year-old son, Johnny Romero, whose number was listed under "Johnny baby", and asked him if was OK. He said investigators would present their case Friday to the district attorney's office for filing consideration. "We're unclear whether a gun went off or if it was an intentional shooting", Mr Garcetti said. Westlake, a mostly Hispanic area, is home to more than 20 schools.

The shooting was reported to police around 9 a.m. on Thursday morning. Some schools failed to do the searches daily, the audit found. One-fourth lacked enough metal-detecting wands to search properly. The district started random searches in 1993 after a 16-year-old was shot and killed at Fairfax High School.

The Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles School Police and District leadership immediately responded, and we followed protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of the Castro Middle School community.

Apple TV Will Now Feature the YouTube TV App
Another praiseworthy feature of YouTube Go is that the users can share saved videos with anybody without using any data. The same goes for pretty much every model of Roku TV, Roku Streaming Stick, and other Roku models back to the Roku 2.

Castro has about 365 students in grades 6-8 and almost all are Hispanic and many from low-income families.
