  • Woman gives birth and leaves note after abandoning infant son in Arizona airport bathroom as authorities ask for public's help in identifying her

According to Fox 5, police are convinced the woman delivered the baby boy at a concourse bathroom before cutting the umbilical cord and taking the child to a different bathroom located near a auto rental counter next to the baggage claim area.

A custodian told police they saw a woman in an airport bathroom who he believed may have just given birth because of the amount of blood in the restroom stall and on the floor.

The child is healthy and in the care of the Arizona Department of Child Safety. The mother vanished after giving birth alone in the airport bathroom, leaving behind only a handwritten note.

Authorities have released photos of the woman they say left a newborn at the Tucson International Airport in January.

"Please help me, my mom had no idea she was pregnant", the note said.

'I just want what's best for him, and it is not me, ' the note reads.

Tucson Airport Authority officials say investigators still are trying to identify the woman, who may be the baby boy's mother.

But Ryan, who controls the House floor, hasn't allowed for a vote on the Dream Act or other bipartisan bills to help Dreamers. She also quoted from the Bible and Pope Francis, while Democrats took turns sitting behind her in support.

All 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Washington DC have a law known as the safe-haven or Baby Moses law which allows mothers to leave newborns at certain locations such as hospitals without fear of penalty.

The note then switches to what appears to be a plea and apology from the mother.

TAAPD has exhausted all its own resources and those of the local law enforcement community as well and is not actively looking for the woman, a spokeswoman for airport police told InsideEdition.com. Authorities haven't decided on criminal charges against the woman.

The baby is reportedly in good health after being evaluated at an area hospital, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
