Hogg, one of the leaders of the March for Our Lives movement and an outspoken gun control activist in the wake of the shooting at his high school, also called out Ingraham for her comments earlier this year about National Basketball Association stars LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham said Friday she will take a week's vacation following an exodus of advertisers from her show after she insulted a Florida shooting survivor's grades.

The controversy revolves around her treatment of Hogg, one of the survivors of the shooting in February at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, in Parkland, Fla. "I'll be off next week for Easter break with my kids", said Ingraham.

Ingraham wrote that Hogg had been "Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it".

Stitch Fix, the clothing subscription company, tweeted: "We did not make the decision to drop our ads from The Ingraham Angle lightly, but believe it was the right thing to do after statements from the host crossed the line of decency". "On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the fearless victims of Parkland". Several companies, including Hulu, Nutrish, Nestlé and TripAdvisor, have yanked their advertisements from Ingraham's show.

Bill O'Reilly took a "pre-planned vacation" last April amid advertiser cancellations after the New York Times detailed his settlements following harassment allegations from five women, totaling at least $13 million.

Parkland student activist David Hogg has had more than his 15 minutes of fame, and his time may be running out.

"We'd like to confirm that we are no longer advertising on Laura Ingraham's show and are monitoring all of our ad placements carefully", the company said.

- Laura Ingraham (@IngrahamAngle) March 29, 2018I 100% agree an apology in an effort just to save your advertisers is not enough.

The mea culpa didn't suffice for Hogg, who demanded that Ingraham also denounce comments made by others on her network before he would accept her apology. It's time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children. "Have some healthy reflections this Holy Week", he tweeted.

He told CNN: "I think it's great that corporate America is standing with me".
