  • China's Manufacturing Growth Slows to Four-Month Low

Manufacturing activity grew at its slowest pace in five months in March as output and new orders expanded at weaker rates, a survey showed on Thursday, while reporting employment decreases for the first time in eight months.

At 52.3 in March, the seasonally adjusted Caixin China General Services Business Activity Index fell further from January's multi-year peak, having slipped from 54.2 in February.

The services sector, including finance, real estate, and retail, made up around 51.6% of China's output previous year, leading analysts to view yesterday's data as a sign of the country's slowing economy.
