The United States Treasury imposed sanctions on Tuesday on Valiollah Seif, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran.

The new sanctions target Iranian, Syrian, and Iraqi nationals, including "the governor and a senior official of the Central Bank of Iran, an Iraq-based bank and its chairman, and a key [Hezbollah] official", who stand accused of moving "millions of dollars on behalf of the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force] and [Hezbollah]".

Seif is also under attack inside Iran. They are the defense against military coups or "deviant movements" against the government.

Vodafone CEO Vittorio Colao Steps Down, CFO Nick Read Promoted
During his tenure, Vodafone's mobile customer base grew from 269 million to 536 million. Gerard Kleisterlee, chairman of Vodafone , said Colao's tenure had been "outstanding".

According to the Treasury's statement, the latest sanctions are a part of US President Donald Trump's "aggressive campaign" against the IRGS and build on the US decision to withdraw from Iran nuclear deal.

Valiollah Seif, pictured, the governor of the Iranian central bank, was named a "specially designated global terrorist" by the USA, along with another senior official, Ali Tarzali. That means that anyone, in any country, who does business with Seif or Tarzali could themselves be punished with sanctions, cutting them off from the United States financial system.

The US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control announced sanctions against Valiollah Seif, Iran's central bank governor, and Ali Tarzali, the assistant director of the worldwide department at the central bank of Iran.

"The US won't allow Iran's more and more brazen abuse of the worldwide monetary system", Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin mentioned.

Pointing to missiles fired at Israel from Syria and missiles fired into Saudi Arabia by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, the White House said the events were "further proof that the Iranian regime's reckless actions pose a severe threat to regional peace and security". "No action taken by the regime has been more risky than its pursuit of nuclear weapons and the means of delivering them", the President added.

The U.S. sanctions got here as Iranian International Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was assembly in Brussels with the highest French, British and German diplomats because the Europeans search to maintain Iran from bailing on the nuclear deal.

Just from the way the vehicle was feeling this weekend, I think we were more comfortable on the softs. We'll try". "Now from turn 1 to turn 4 it's flat-out with corners in it", he explained.

President Trump has always been critical of the Obama-era agreement, calling it an "embarrassment" and "one of the worst and most one-sided transactions the United States has ever entered into". The sanctions concentrating on Iran's central financial institution executives are among the first actions by Trump's administration since pulling out of the deal to begin ramping up that financial strain. Trump called the deal unfair and doubted that it would limit the nuclear ambitions of Tehran.
