A Texas school district says it will be holding a graduation ceremony as planned for the high school where 10 people were killed during a deadly shooting last week.

Tripp said she opposes a more stringent safe storage law in Texas, and questioned whether police would even be able to enforce such a measure. When the reporter asks her why, the girl responds, "It's been happening everywhere". Somebody probably came and hurt him, and since he was a solid boy, I don't know what could have happened. "I wasn't surprised, I was just scared".

In the week following the shooting, Divin clarified his stance on the changes he hopes to see made, including the issue of gun control. "Once America decided killing children was bearable, it was over". Wednesday's session will focus on gun regulations, mental health and causes of gun violence, he said.

Father of Accused Texas Shooter Believes Bullying Was Behind Rampage

That's in sharp contrast to the response to the February 14 shooting rampage at a high school in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 dead.

The alleged shooter, a 17-year-old student at the school, has been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault. It's not clear if any of them will become a reality. They posted heartbreaking videos from their classrooms on Snapchat, pushed back against critics on Twitter, and acted as journalists during their own personal tragedies.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott met Tuesday with experts and politicians to discuss how to prevent school shootings, five days after a teenage gunman killed 10 people at a high school in the southern U.S. state. But they're also of a generation that has grown up in the age of increasingly regular school shootings. Abbott said he'll meet Wednesday with gun rights and gun control advocacy groups and Thursday with victims of the attack at Santa Fe High School and the November attack on a church in Sutherland Springs.

Police Firing at anti-sterlite protesters pre-planned?
The protesters had set ablaze the local administrator's office after they were denied permission to hold a rally at the plant. Families of the deceased staged noisy protests at the Thoothukdi government hospital opposing autopsy of the bodies.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo has been pointed in his response to the violence in nearby Santa Fe.

Other ideas that Abbott mentioned were increasing the number of school counselors, creating incentives for students to share information about potential threats and evaluating an expansion of a state program that arms teachers.

The meetings at the state Capitol were organized after Friday's mass shooting at a high school in Santa Fe. Then there was Gov. Greg Abbott's promise to "do more than just pray for the victims and their families", by holding roundtable discussions to stop the violence.

"We don't have enough", she told CNN. "I said, 'How can I help?'" "My life matters, but it's like, there's one person that can come home to their family or there can be 22 people that come home to their families". Antonios Pagourtzis wouldn't comment to the Journal about how his son acquired them.

"Be sure that your kids and grandkids or anyone who might have access to your home can not get your guns", said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, citing yet another reason for the bloodshed. "It's a choice that I have to make".

Two school resource officers arrived at the school about four minutes after the shooting started and engaged Dimitrios, enabling other officers to evacuate teachers, administrators and students, Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset said. According to the end of their mission statement, student organizers plan to continue demanding effective changes to gun laws, but for now they are still children whose votes don't count yet.
