This will be Patrick's final career race as she will retire after this event.

Patrick joined INDYCAR in 2005, earning rookie of the year awards for the season and the Indy 500, when she became the first woman to lead the race.

Patrick was completing the "Danica Double" after wrecking out at the Daytona 500.

"[ECR] said they looked back at the data and there was a little lift in the middle, a little understeer and back to it and [it] just swung".

Zinedine Zidane Not Expecting Surprises From Liverpool
Bale has been put up for sale by Real president Florentino Perez, who has fielded concrete approaches from Chelsea and Liverpool . Liverpool: Karis, Robertson, van Dijk, Lovren, Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum, Henderson (C), Milner, Mane, Firmino and Salah.

"I'm not really sure what happened", a dejected Patrick said after coming out of the care center.

"I've had a lot of good fortune here and still had some this month".

But Patrick dropped down the field to just outside the top 10 early in the running and later admitted the vehicle was tough to drive from the outset.

Team Penske has now won 17 Indianapolis 500s.

Trump pardons late boxing champion Jack Johnson
Trump last month credited Stallone, the actor who portrayed Rocky Balboa in the iconic film series, for urging Johnson's pardon. The law was passed two years earlier and made it a crime to take a woman across state lines for immoral purposes.

Danica Patrick's final Indianapolis 500, meanwhile, ended the same way her final Daytona 500 ended in February: with a crash that wouldn't allow her to finish the race. "We're just going to be glad when it's over". But she said this week that she didn't have any regrets about her career. Patrick started the race seventh and ran inside the top 16 before getting loose and hitting the wall on Lap 67.

A disappointed Carpenter was left to settle for second, crossing the bricks 3.1s in arrears. "I've had so many wins, so many poles". Power was working on reeling them in when both swerved into pitlane for fuel with three laps to go. Ed Carpenter, who clocked the fastest qualifying time to win the pole position for the second time in his career, finished the Indy 500 in second and Scott Dixon came in third.

"Yeah, it's an entire career", she said, "but what really launched it was this".

"Man, I just can't believe it", said an emotional Power in Victory Lane.

Two Memorial Day events move indoors
A 10th US Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers Commemoration will take place at 11 a.m. and a butterfly release is scheduled for noon. Donations will be accepted for the United Veterans of the Flathead Valley to continue conducting military funeral honors.

Despite the ignominious end to her career, Patrick's IndyCar success means she's got a claim to being the greatest female driver in American motorsports. I don't remember this. Sebastien Bourdais, three-time victor Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan also lost control and wrecked. Maybe someday he'll race for me. He posted throughout the day about the race, and he even streamed the whole event from inside his vehicle.
