The dramatic reshaping of the Los Angeles Lakers' roster will include Rajon Rondo joining the franchise on a one-year, $9 million agreement and the departure of forward Julius Randle, who was renounced and became an unrestricted free agent, league sources told ESPN.

The Lakers and Randle are expected to speak on Monday.

The Los Angeles Lakers have renounced the rights to Julius Randle, making the four-year veteran and former lottery pick a free agent, ESPN reports. Randle is more of a ball-handler and off-the-dribble threat. He also played for the Celtics when the Lakers won the 2009-10 championship over Boston in seven. He averaged 8.3 points, 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 65 games for New Orleans last season.

He also noted that thanks to Chechresov the team has made the impossible making it to the playoffs. The World Cup match between Russian Federation and Spain will be broadcast live on FS1.

Rondo is coming off a stellar season with the Pelicans and showed that he can easily play side-by-side with another point guard, Jrue Holiday.

Rondo considered remaining with the Pelicans before accepting the Lakers' offer. By signing Randle, it would appear that DeMarcus Cousins' time in New Orleans is through. They also could waive him and stretch his contract in order to lessen their salary cap burden.

Randle played in all 82 of L.A.'s games past year.

Sardar Azmoun's header was blocked by Cedric Soares' arm, with referee Enrique Caceres again opting not to point to the spot. He marked the occasion with a saved penalty too. "When there is a penalty, everything becomes more warm in the pitch".

Adding the 32-year-old Rondo makes for a unique situation as the Lakers selected point guard Lonzo Ball with the No.2 overall choice in the 2017 draft. He had averages of 16.1 points, and 8.0 rebounds, per game.

It's unclear what the market is like for Randle, who starred collegiately at Kentucky.
