One U.S. service member was killed and two were wounded Saturday in an apparent insider attack in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. -led military coalition.

A statement issued by the Resolute Support Mission on Saturday said two other United States service members were wounded but in a stable condition.

The DoD report also said that NATO Resolute Support advisers are working to require better national screening for Afghan security forces personnel.

The attack comes a year after an Afghan soldier killed three USA service members during what was a joint operation.

Anthony said numerous right things during his time in Oklahoma City, talking continuously about how he'd "accepted" and "sacrificed" for a role as a third banana.

But a police officer told news agency AFP the shooting happened at the airport in Tarinkot, the capital of Uruzgan province - although they were unable to confirm this detail with any North Atlantic Treaty Organisation officials.

The so-called "green-on-blue" attack is the latest in a series of incidents in which Afghan forces have turned their weapons on worldwide troops with whom they are working. A "conscientious" Afghan soldier, Ahmadi said, turned his gun on "American invaders" and killed four of them.

The apparent insider attack came just over a year after three US soldiers were killed in an attack by an Afghan soldier.

This is the third combat fatality in Afghanistan this year.

Due to the fact that Ariane is a minor - the court will appoint a guardian to protect the estate's interest on her behalf. Ariane gets the bulk of his assets, and his estranged wife, Ottavia Busia-Bourdain, is the executor of the will.

North Atlantic Treaty Organisation told AFP that Saturday's killing was the third US soldier death this year. Western officials say most insider attacks stem from personal grudges and cultural misunderstandings rather than insurgent plots.

The service branch of the troops and the province in which the suspected attack occurred have not been made public.

Additional information will be released as appropriate, the statement added.
