  • British government plunged into fresh chaos as Brexit minister resigns

On Friday, Johnson was praising May for being able to reach a decision on Brexit but just two days later he submitted his resignation.

Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May leaves Downing Street in London, Britain, July 10, 2018.

Mr Trump insisted he got along "very well" with Mrs May - but he also described Mr Johnson as a "friend of mine".

"I believe this will help the government stick to the promises it made".

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has been named as Mr Johnson's replacement as foreign secretary.

"It's time for her & her party to put country before party & go".

And former Conservative leader William Hague warned party rebels that voting against the Prime Minister's final deal could result in Brexit being indefinitely delayed or halted altogether.

Mike Pence: 'I Do' Still Want Roe v. Wade Overturned
Just as important , Democrats would be angry across the country and looking to even the score following the White House's victory. McGahn has long pushed for Kavanaugh to be considered for the Supreme Court, having worked with him in the Bush administration.

"I do welcome the fact that it has been published, it's two years since the referendum in the United Kingdom, it is welcomed that at long last we have a white paper from the United Kingdom explaining how they see the new relationship with the European Union and the United Kingdom and I look forward to reading it and giving it a considered response next week", he said.

"My concern is about the policy rather than the individual", he said.

The two departures shatter May´s own proclamation of cabinet unity last Friday, when she believed she had, after two years of wrangling, secured agreement on Britain´s biggest foreign and trading policy shift in nearly half a century.

"Alongside this unprecedented economic partnership, we also want to build an unrivalled security partnership, and an unparalleled partnership on cross-cutting issues like data, and science and innovation".

These firms would, of course, favour a "soft Brexit" as that will ensure continued access to the single market comprising the remaining 27 European Union states, and some have put expansion plans on hold until there is greater clarity on Britain's exit by March 2019.

Why did David Davis resign?

With less than nine months until Britain is due to leave the bloc, May is sticking to her plan for a "business friendly" Brexit. Working out how to keep the now invisible border free of tariffs and customs checks has been a major stumbling block in negotiations.

Hardiman has a personal connection to the president, having served with Trump's sister on the 3rd U.S. Another former Kennedy clerk, Kethledge is known for his strong defense of the Second Amendment.

Mr Davis, who led negotiations to leave the European Union for the past two years, described the Cabinet stance as a "compromise too far". That would hurt Europe as well as Britain, and could poison future U.K. -EU relations for years. The timetable increasingly looks overly optimistic, and European Union frustration with British division and chaos is growing.

The Daily Telegraph said on Tuesday night that senior Brexiteers said that they have enough letters in hand to trigger a confidence vote and will submit them unless she hardens her Brexit plans.

Opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said the government was incapable of delivering Brexit. With the threat of more to follow, it could be game over for Theresa May and Britain's entire moderate Brexit plans.

Why so many resignations at once?

Davis was a strong pro-Brexit voice in a Cabinet divided between supporters of a clean break with the bloc and those who want to keep close ties with Britain's biggest trading partner.

Mr Raab, May's new Brexit minister, will suggest that such criticism was not justified. Euroskeptic Conservative lawmaker Peter Bone said party activists felt "betrayed" by the government plan.

Asked whether May was in trouble following the rash of departures from her government on Monday, he replied: "No".

"I get along with her very well, I have a very good relationship", he said.

The White House said Monday that former Arizona Sen. "As a fair legal mind, defender of the Constitution, and a judge on the D.C. Under Republicans' most bullish forecast, they would actually pick up six seats, the four mentioned above plus OH and Missouri.
