"But the period of devastation was so short because so shortly after that, the responses my wife and I started to read, these responses from literally all over the world of support". "And fortunately the shame part didn't last very long. It hurt but then, it's just unbelievable". On "GMA", he said that he's also been teaching acting and directing for years.

Filmmaker Tyler Perry tweeted a job offer to him after the interview aired. Try to stay in the business. Still, he doesn't want anyone's sympathy.

Barcelona scores eight vs. Huesca, including a jaw-dropping Lionel Messi goal
Huesca drew closer just before the halftime whistle, with Alejandro Gallar Falguera scoring in the 42nd minute. The Argentine also hit the bar and added a second on the counter-attack, as well as assisting two goals.

As a result of the viral nature of the incident, Owens said while he doesn't want to automatically get an acting job out of it, he "wouldn't mind" getting auditions. "Even with all this notoriety right now, I think I'd actually feel a little uncomfortable if someone said because of what's happening to you in the media right now, we are going to give you a job". Owens said he gets recognized daily, but people are surprisingly "cool" about it.

But what he wants most from this unfortunate incident, which he says will surely pass soon enough, is for people to realize that at the end of the day, there is no work that is better or beneath any other. "Every job is worth while and valuable, and if we have a rethinking abut that because of what's happened to me, that would be great".

Once his own moment in the headlines passes, Owens hopes people retain a new way of thinking about what it means to work.

Customer Melissa Davis said next time she sees him, she'll tell him to keep up the good work - whether it's on TV or behind the counter. The idea that some jobs are better than others... that's not true. It might look better on a resume and on paper, but it's actually not better.
