  • Search warrant carried out at home of New Jersey couple accused of misusing money raised for homeless man

McClure, 28, and D'Amico, 39, were at home Thursday during the early-morning search.

Authorities in New Jersey have executed a search warrant at the home of a couple accused of withholding hundreds of thousands of dollars raised through a GoFundMe campaign for a homeless good Samaritan. "Further updates will be provided as circumstances warrant".

Johnny Bobbitt Jr.'s lawyer, Chris Fallon, told CNN that GoFundMe has agreed to pay back the $400,000 raised by Kate McClure and her boyfriend Mark D'Amico for Bobbitt past year.

The couple has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, but the deadline has passed after a court ordered for them to hand over the cash.

Judge Dow also told both sides' counsel to organize their paperwork, in order to determine exactly how the cash was spent before it all vanished. He sued them to try to recover the donated funds, but earlier this week, a lawyer for the couple said the money was gone.

Thousands protest in Syria's Idlib against possible Assad offensive
Mr Putin, Turkey's Tayyip Erdogan, and Iran's Hassan Rouhani all agreed there could be no military solution to the conflict. The Assad government was not directly represented at the summit, nor was the United States or other Western powers.

"I am not going to allow you to be their voice anymore", said Dow, a former state attorney general, according to the Associated Press.

They'll be taking quite a hit to make good on this because it's looking more and more as if most of what McClure and D'Amico said has proven to be false.

This photo taken August 15, 2018, shows Johnny Bobbitt Jr., the homeless veteran who gave $20 for gas for Kate McClure, back on the streets with his brother.

The couple immediately set up an account for Bobbitt and deposited $25,000 in it, which he spent in 13 days, most of it on drugs, they said.

As for the couple, they've been ordered to appear in a deposition on Monday, along with Bobbitt.

Congratulations! Shahid & Mira BLESSED with Baby Boy
Meanwhile, as soon as the good news surfaced online, fans and Bollywood stars took to their social media accounts to wish parents. When quizzed if if Shahid will beat Saif at the beard game, he replied, "I might just get there, watch out Saif".

Whithorne said the crowdfunding platform, which has reported raising more than $5 billion from roughly 50 million donors since it was founded in 2010, was waiving part of its refund policy that could have prevented Bobbitt's donors from requesting reimbursements. "GoFundMe's goal has always been to ensure Johnny gets [the] support he deserves", Whithorne told the Philadelphia Inquirer, "We'll continue to assist with the ongoing law enforcement investigation".

And Bobbitt told the Inquirer that D'Amico gambled away some of the GoFundMe money at a casino in Philadelphia. The decision didnt' speak to any lack of merit, but rather the fact that all of the financial records of McClure and D'Amico were seized by the cops in Thursday's raid. The GoFundMe cash, Bobbitt suspected, had been squandered on vacations, a luxury auto and more than one addiction. Bobbitt says he did receive about $75,000 from the couple.

Officials were at the couple's home in Bordentown early on September 6, a day after a judge ordered them to appear in court, Fox29 reported.

A homeless war veteran who gave his last $20 to a stranded woman in need of petrol, will receive the $545,000 (AUD) raised for him in a GoFundMe campaign, lawyers say. On September 6, they strengthened that position, noting that whatever the outcome of the court case they immediately plan to award Bobbitt the full amount of what he still hasn't received (the actual amount remains unclear).

The seemingly heartwarming story led to high-profile television appearances for Bobbitt, McClure and D'Amico and even an interview on BBC.
