  • Gunman kills five people in a series of shootings in California in US

Sheriff Donny Youngblood told reporters that the suspect first shot a man at the trucking company and then killed his wife.

The suspect shot the man before turning the gun on his wife, Youngblood said.

According to the sheriff: The suspect left the area and went to a residence and confronted two more people, the Garcias (who are father and daughter) where he shot both of them.

The gunman then allegedly carjacked a woman and her child. Casarez told the woman he wasn't a 'bad person' and let her and the child out of the auto before he drove to Edison Highway, where he was spotted by a deputy, officials said.

When a deputy found the husband driving on Edison Highway, the suspect pulled into a lot and shot himself in the chest, according to the Californian.

The names of the gunman and the five people he's said to have killed weren't immediately available.

Sheriff's deputies say six people are dead, including a gunman, after a string of shootings in Southeast Bakersfield.

Bakersfield is a city of approximately 380,000 residents in southern California, about 100 miles north-northwest of Los Angeles. A third man who arrived at the business was also pursued and shot.

But, he added, "This is the new normal, if you look across the country, these types of shootings".

"It appears to me to be very calculated", Youngblood said.

I have clearly stated about this in each of my media interviews and TV discussions that I saw the two talking to each other. Mallya first spoke about meeting Jaitley during the lunch break when he stepped out for a smoke.

Authorities say that approximately 30 people witnessed the shootings and are being interviewed by police.

The deputy's body camera video shows the deputy repeatedly ordered Casarez to drop his weapon before he shot himself. It is unclear if some of the victims were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He may have forced his ex-wife to accompany him to a trucking business before shooting her and other victims, authorities said on Thursday. Cazarez used a used.50-caliber handgun in the shooting.

"We need to find out where this started...obviously these are not random shootings".
